What I love about being a Doula
I feel so lucky to be a Doula. Every part of my job I enjoy so much. My role is so incredibly versatile and no two days are the same as a birth and postpartum doula.
Some days are spent preparing expectant parents for birth through antenatal classes and various workshops. Some days are spent with my birth clients getting ready for birth, offering that continuity of care and empowering them for birth.
Other days are spent in my role as a postpartum Doula supporting new parents in the postpartum period. I am on hand to support them however they need, preparing meals, light housework, caring for their baby while parents sleep and rest, providing emotional support and troubleshooting any issues they have. I love providing feeding support and being that person who is just a call or a text away should they need. I also offer overnight care for parents who need a good night sleep.
“I AM SO LUCKY TO LOVE WHAT I DO.”
‘Prepare for Birth & Postpartum’ Antenatal Workshop with Aisling Finnegan and Louise Grant
We are so excited to bring our Prepare for Birth and Postpartum Antenatal class to Little Roo Studio.
Centred in the heart of Blackrock village, Little Roo Parent and Baby Hub is the place for expectant parents, parents and families in the Dublin area.
This is an informal and relaxed Doula led antenatal class to prepare and empower you for birth and postpartum. We believe that preparing for postpartum is JUST AS IMPORTANT as preparing for birth, and we cover everything from birth to postpartum in a fun and engaging way.
Our goal is to empower expectant parents to trust their bodies, their choices, their boundaries, and their decisions. Education and preparation are key to a positive birth and postpartum experience, and our antenatal class is the perfect way to get started on that journey.
So, if you’re looking for a supportive, inclusive, and fun antenatal class experience, we would love to welcome you and your partner or birth support person along.
